Felix Ogar TAKIM is a Professor in the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, with over 15 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience. He has served as Acting Head, Post-graduate Coordinator, and Examination Officer of the Department of Agronomy and Acting Director of the Unilorin Sugar Research Institute, among others. He was a visiting scholar at UNU-INRA, Accra, in 2015 and a land-use specialist for REDD+ Nigeria between 2017 and 2018. His areas of research interest cover weed community composition, dynamics, and management in drought-prone environments. He has to his credit over sixty publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. He has successfully supervised over 15 master’s dissertations and 5 PhD theses, and many ongoing ones. Prof. Takim was the national secretary of the Weed Science Society of Nigeria between 2018 and 2023 and a member of many other professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
