Kehinde Olayemi Affinnih is a Reader at the Department of Agronomy. She obtained her Ph.D. in Soil Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2013. Her research focuses on soil fertility (chemistry), nutrient management, and sustainable agriculture practices. Affinnih’s passion for soil science stems from her NYSC personal community development service spent on her maize farm, where she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of soil health and quality in agricultural production. She teaches courses on Soil Science, Analytical techniques, and environmental sustainability, inspiring students to pursue careers in soil science and agriculture. She is actively involved in outreach and extension activities to educate farmers, policymakers, and the general public about the importance of soil health and sustainable land management practices. She conducts field demonstrations, workshops, and training programs to promote soil conservation, nutrient management, and sustainable agriculture practices. She has supervised and co-supervised about 5 M.Sc. Dissertations.
