Olabisi F. Adekola is a Professor in the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, and attended Isabatudeen Girls Grammar School and Queen School, Ibadan between 1976 and 1983. She had her first degree in Forest Resources Management from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and won the Laurie prize for the best-graduating student for the year 1987. Her second degree was in Crop Production from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She joined the services of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 1998 as an assistant lecturer and later obtained a Ph.D degree in Agronomy from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She has published in reputable local, national, and international journals and attended several academic/ professional conferences, seminars, and workshops within and outside Nigeria. She has also participated in commissioned national research projects such as the National Agricultural Research Project (NARP) in the Middle Belt Zone sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture. She has held various positions of responsibilities including Examination officer, Postgraduate coordinator, Head of the Department of Agronomy, and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
